Ford introduces Heritage Editions. Available on two and four-door models, the Heritage Editions include pinstripes with “Bronco” script, an Oxford White roof, grille, and wheels that mimic the 66 Bronco’s stamped steel painted wheels. “Ford” in block red letters is splashed across the front grille. Unique colors based on 1966 paint are offered.

The Heritage models will be based on Bronco Big Bend. Instead of a 289 V8, the Bronco Heritage Edition comes with the 2.3-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder and a 7-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic.

A step up from the Heritage, the Heritage Limited Edition is based on Bronco Badlands and comes with the 2.7 twin-turbo V6.

Base price increases by $2050.

Intelligent Access is now standard on Big Bend. A memory driver’s seat and side mirrors are now available, optional on Badlands.

A Heritage Edition is also available on Bronco Sport, based on the Big Bend model. Heritage Limited Edition is based on the Bronco Sport Badlands. Both models include Oxford White roofs, grilles, pinstripes, and red lettering for “Bronco” in the grille. The white wheels are modeled after 1960’s period stamped steel wheels.

Escape receives a refresh, with a new, wider grille, redesigned hood, bumper, and headlights.

All the old trims have been replaced: S, SE, SEL, and Titanium are replaced with Base, Active, ST-Line, ST-Line Select, ST-Line Elite, and Platinum. Escape Plug-In Hybrid is now its own trim, no SE, SEL, or Titanium.

A 360-degree camera system is now available, an option on all but Base.

A hands-free liftgate is no longer offered.

Pro Trailer Backup Assist is now optional on all models.

Supply chain issues may eliminate Auto Start-Stop and Hands-Free liftgate from some models; they can be selected for removal during an order.

Supply chain issues may eliminate satellite radio, heated rear seats, rear a/c controls, and Auto Start-Stop from some models.

The 360-Degree Camera and wireless phone charging are now available on XLT, part of the XLT Technology Package. Front parking sensors are now available on all but Base models.

Much previously standard equipment on Explorer ST is now part of the ST High Package, including ventilated front seats, 110-volt a/c outlet, driver’s memory power seat, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and more.

Custom off-road packages are all the rage, and Ford offers several, from FX4 to Raptor. A new one for 2023 is the F-150 Rattler. Based on the XL with the FX4 package, the Rattler is a relatively inexpensive way to express individuality and explore the wilderness.

Cruise control, power locks, and reverse sensing system are now standard.

SuperCab no longer offers a Lariat trim, only XL and XLT.

Supply chain issues may remove massaging seats from some orders.

Horsepower increases by 10 for the standard range electric motor, now 462. Its range is also ten miles longer: 240.

Heated front seats are now standard.

The Raptor R introduces a supercharged 5.2 Voodoo V8 engine with 700 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque and an active exhaust system that can go from quiet to raucous. The 37-inch tires optional on V6 Raptor are standard on Raptor R. The suspension and springs are stiffened to handle the extra weight of the V8 engine.

Pro Trailer Backup Assist, Memory driver’s seat, memory power tilt/telescoping steering wheel, memory side mirrors, and dual-zone automatic climate control are now standard.

The F-Super Duty pickup line gets refreshed for 2023. Almost all the sheet metal is new, the front grille now stretches to the edges with the headlights smoothly integrated and ending in a straight line at the front fenders.

The biggest changes under the hood include the replacement of the overhead camshaft 6.2 V8 with a 6.8 pushrod V8 as the standard engine. The new engine, derived from the pushrod 7.3 introduced in 2020, produces 400 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. The six-speed automatic is no longer offered; the 10-speed automatic is standard on all models.

New integrated side box steps are standard.

The Maverick now offers the Tremor Off-Road package. Available on XLT or Lariat trims of the 2.0 turbocharged AWD Maverick, the Tremor has almost an inch more ground clearance and greater angles of approach, break-over, and departure. The Tremor also features a locking rear differential and Trail Control, a low-speed cruise control for off-road.

Cruise control is now standard, including XL models. A rear seat center armrest is now standard on XLT.

Base price increases by $2200.

The Shelby GT500 is discontinued.

GT models lose 10 pound-feet of torque in the ratings.

The rest of the lame duck 2023 model is unchanged except for two fewer colors available: Cyber Orange and Brittany Blue.

Extended-range models get more range, now 310 miles on rear-wheel drive and 290 miles on all-wheel drive.

Californie Route 1 models are now only available in all-wheel drive.

Driver Assist Technology is now available on all models, including BlueCruise, a hands-free driving system. Owners can get a trial for 90 days which includes the 360-Degree camera.

Mustang Nite Pony Package, available on Premium and GT, include blacked-out prancing pony badges, grille, wheels, and other trim.

The base trim, Mustang Mach-E Select, will not be available at the start of manufacturing.

GT models’ price increased by $10100, and California Route 1 models by $13,000.

All-wheel drive has been offered on the Transit for some time. Now Transit Trail becomes a dedicated, off-road van. Transit Trail comes standard with the 3.5 EcoBoost V6 and all-wheel drive. It has a ride height increase of 3.5 inches. It’s only available in a cargo van version, as it’s primarily meant for the conversion market.

Transit Passenger Van T-150 130-inch wheelbase is discontinued.
