Join us as we explore the highly anticipated changes and innovations that will shape the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette, offering an exciting glimpse into the updates that will elevate the performance and allure of this legendary sports car.

E-Ray

Only a year after the new Z06 became the best performing Corvette ever, the E-Ray becomes the first all-wheel drive, the first hybrid and the new quickest Corvette.

The E-Ray adds an electric motor to the front axle; powered by a lithium-ion battery running through the center, it produces 160 additional horsepower and all-wheel drive. The system can even operate under electricity alone up to 45 miles-per-hour.

Chevrolet claims zero-to-60 MPH takes only 2.5 seconds and the quarter-mile takes only 10.5. Motor Trend clocked a Z06 at 2.6 and 10.6 seconds, respectively.

Most of the hardware on the new E-Ray is shared with the Z06, including the carbon ceramic brakes in the Z07 package, the magnetically adjustable shocks, and the wider body and wheel track. It also shares the same size tires and wheels: 275/30ZR20 front and 345/25ZR21 rear.

Safety

For the first time forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and lane keeping assist are offered on the Corvette; it's standard on all models and trims, possibly an unfortunate choice for a vehicle that is more likely to be on a racetrack than most.

Strangely, adaptive cruise control is not offered, a system that would be appreciated by many of the Corvette's clientele more than the others and uses the hardware of the frontal collision warning and automatic emergency braking.
