Step into the future of automotive excellence as we go through the highly anticipated updates and enhancements coming to the Mazda3 in 2024.
Trims
The Mazda3 2.5 S Hatchback is no longer offered; the trim is now only offered on the sedan.
The 2.5 S Select, the entry-level for the hatchback, is now called the 2.5 S Select Sport for both sedan and hatchback models.
The Turbo is now called the Carbon Turbo, as the trim adds aspects of the popular Carbon Edition, which is stilled offered as a non-turbo.
The Mazda3 Premium Sedan is also discontinued.
Features
Heated side mirrors and lit visor mirrors are now standard on all but the Mazda3 2.5 S Sedan.
The Mazda3 2.5 S Sedan no longer has rain-sensitive wipers, replacing them with variable intermittent wipers.
The Carbon Turbo does not have satellite radio, Navigation, adaptive headlights, a wiper de-icer or a heated steering wheel, deletions from the 2023 base Turbo model.
The wireless Qi phone charger that was a dealer option last year is now standard on Carbon Edition, Premium, Carbon Turbo, and Turbo Premium Plus models.
Safety
Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are now standard on all Mazda3 models.
Rear Door Alert, a new standard feature, warns the driver that the rear seat may be occupied, depending on whether the rear door was accessed any time before or during the current trip.
Transmission
#SavetheManuals
The Mazda3 S Premium Hatchback still offers a 6-speed manual, though it would be nice to offer it in the sedan, or even better with the turbocharged engine.
