All Acura Changes 2023: Integra
2023 Acura Integra courtesy Acura News
A nameplate from Acura’s inception returns. Last seen in the United States as a 2006 model year, three-door hatchback, the Integra goes back to Acura’s first year: 1986.
The 2023 Acura Integra is a 5-door hatchback, only. It marks the return of the manual transmission to Acura’s offerings. Basically, the 2023 Integra is a cross between a Honda Civic Sport Hatchback and a Honda Civic Si. The engine is the identical one from the Si (only available as a 4-door sedan), with the added choice of a CVT automatic transmission. The Civic Si’s 6-speed manual is still offered, but only on the top-level A-Spec. Here, as in the Si, horsepower is 200 and torque is 192 pound-feet.
The brakes are an exact copy of the Civic Si’s. The suspension is also the same: front struts and a multilink independent rear setup, except that the Acura Integra A-Spec with the Technology Package comes with electronically adaptive shocks.
The Integra is almost two inches longer, over 130 pounds heavier, and over an inch wider than the Civic Si. This results overall in a car that costs $2700 more but is two-tenths of a second slower to 60 MPH and in the quarter mile. Hopefully, a Type R is being prepared, so that we can enjoy a grown-up 300+ horsepower Honda product.

But just wait, and a Type S with over 300 horsepower is on its way, as a 2024 model.
